Matthew trained at Laine Theatre Arts.


As a performer, Matthew appeared in the West End, toured the UK and worked internationally.

His performing credits include Saturday Night Fever, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Miami Nights, Cats, Chicago, Guys and Dolls, The Rocky Horror Show, Zorro, They’re Playing Our Song, Candide and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.


Matthew also performed on television in such shows as The Royal Variety Performance, Children In Need, Paul O’Grady and Comic Relief.

Matthew has since moved his career into Choreography and Direction. He has dance captained several West End shows and was the Assistant Choreographer and Resident Director on the Take That musical Never Forget. Assistant Choreographer on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Choreographer for comedian Pam Ann or her international and US tour including shows at the London Palladium and Apollo Hammersmith.


Matthew also choreographs pantomimes regularly for Qdos Entertainment including Aladdin and Cinderella. Each year he choreographs and directs the Pulse Awards at Grosvenor House London. This is a full evening of entertainment using the finest performers from the West End including Ruthie Henshal and Kerry Ellis!

Matthew is the creative choreographer for Private Drama which supplies choreography to high profile corporate events across London.


Matthew has been in New York City where he was assistant choreographer on the International Trend Awards for Wella Professionals. Matthew is part of the creative team for Icon Dance, which supplies dancers, choreography and production for major events.


Matthew choreographed ‘Vampirette’ a new musical which premiered at the Manchester Opera House. He then went on to choreograph the UK national tour of Angelina Ballerina the Mousical which is about to embark on a new Australian and Uk and tour. The World Skills Show at the NEC LG arena in Birmingham and The Road to Qatar at the Landor Theatre, and Edinburgh festival.


Recently Matthew has been in Miami choreographing two new shows for Jean Ann Ryan Productions to be installed in to their six star cruise ships.

Matthew is Currently the Resident Director on the UK tour of West Side Story and Associate Director of the forth coming production of Guys and Dolls at the Chichester Festival Theatre.
